"After speaking to Muamba's family on Monday, Curtis Codrington told the reporters that his friend [Muamba] has spoken 'minimal words in English and French, which is better than nothing,'" the Telegraph report said.
The Bolton midfielder remains in "critical" condition at London's Chest Hospital, but he is moving his limbs and even speaking, according to the Telegraph.

"His heart is now beating without the help of medication and he is also moving his arms and his legs," the Bolton statement read. "However, his long-term prognosis will remain unclear for some time. He is still critically ill and will continue to be closely monitored and treated by staff in the London chest hospital's intensive care unit."
